Bienvenidos a Gilda’s Spanish Experience!
Hello, I’m Gilda, and I believe learning Spanish should be as fun, vibrant and real as the culture behind the language. That’s why I created Gilda’s Spanish Experience, a space where students can finally stop memorising endless grammar rules and start really speaking Spanish.
I’m based in London, but I work with students across the UK and beyond through dynamic and fully online lessons. My focus? Real-life communication. That means conversation-based learning that’s interactive, enjoyable and practical – whether you’re just starting or looking to refine your skills.
After years of working in colleges, I noticed a gap: students were getting stuck on grammar exercises but weren’t developing the confidence to speak or write effectively in real-life situations. The lessons weren’t fun. They weren’t immersive. And they rarely reflected the beauty of Spanish-speaking cultures.
So, I decided to do things differently. I began offering one-to-one lessons, at first to boost my own confidence as a teacher. Before long, it grew into something much bigger.
Now, with over 10 years of teaching experience, I help learners from all walks of life build their Spanish in a way that feels natural and empowering. Whether we’re chatting about travel, food, work or everyday life, everything is designed to help you use the language, not just study it.
I’m a fully qualified and experienced Spanish teacher with a passion for making language learning both enjoyable and effective. My credentials include:
Degree in Spanish Studies – University of Barcelona
Master’s Degree in Book Publishing
Diploma in Education and Training
Certificate in Teaching Spanish to Young Learners
Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA)
My mission is to help you feel genuinely confident speaking and writing Spanish, not just in the classroom, but in the real world.
I have had the pleasure of being taught by Gilda for nearly three years now, and I can confidently say that she has transformed my Spanish learning experience. Having studied Spanish throughout my life, I faced a five-year gap after leaving secondary school, but thanks to Gilda's exceptional teaching, I have regained my confidence and enthusiasm for the language.
